As a School
We have a Responsability.
It is our responsibility to do everything we can to preserve a livable environment for our children.
We have learned, read, and discussed a lot about climate change. Now, it’s time to act. It’s time for every business, every government, and every individual to commit to preventing the current environmental and social crisis.
Here’s what we’re doing at Les Kidz:
Our Curriculum
How are things connected? What are the consequences? Is there a link between this and that? Can we think differently? What do we, as human beings, need to feel… safe, happy? Is it okay to be different?
We study the water cycle. How does pollination work? And spiders? Should we be afraid of them? Trees? We can climb them, but how do they communicate?… So many fundamental concepts that make life possible. Our secret to helping them understand? We see children as intelligent young beings.

Diapers & Trash
We exclusively use compostable diapers, wipes, and trash bags. We’ve chosen to partner with the local company ReDyper SF.
Did you know that it takes 500 years for traditional diapers to decompose? ReDyper SF breaks them down in just 14 days. It’s worth noting that compostable diapers can take years to end up in household garbage without composting.
Please note that we also support families who use cloth diapers.
Food & Cooking
Children prepare the lunch with us… They touch, try, taste, share and learn patience. It’s organic, local and raw, we just have to make a dish! No tricks here. No preservative. No colorant and just a very small amount of sugar and salt.
We fuel San Francisco farmer market and cooperative like Rainbow Grocery.
We buy in bulk as much as we can to avoid trash.
Oh wait! We grow sprouts and microgreens. And we learn to store the season by preserving food.
Growing food helps build a connection with our ecosystem: its connects us with our soil, plants, other animals, insects, water. It allows us to eat more locally.

Our tech Footprint
The internet’s carbon footprint is constantly increasing, representing approximately 2 to 4% of global emissions—as much as, or even more than, the entire aviation industry. Websites rely on significant physical infrastructure, such as servers, data centers, and telecommunications networks, which require electricity for their operation and production.
As with our other commitments, we have optimized the carbon footprint of our website.
Material use at school
All our school material is compostable, reusable, recycled.

Did you know we were the 10th Innovator business certified in the entire State of California! This is a day to day work and the much we learn, the much we improve ourself.
Looking for collaboration to do better? Always…
